Memberships
Our memberships come in 2 different packages, depending on how much you produce. Don’t worry, you can cancel or change anytime.
If you are a beginner, you must take a class before becoming a member. You can test into membership by throwing a centered, 6-in cylinder and showing competency in basic sculpting, trimming and glazing. Memberships do not include instruction, but we have a variety of beginner classes to get you started.

A friendly note on production pottery.
Our West Side studio is designed to support learning, exploration, and personal creative practice. Because we are a shared community space with limited equipment, storage, and kiln capacity, we are unable to accommodate production pottery or high-volume work intended for commercial sale. We ask members to keep their clay usage to under 50 lbs a month (2 bags) so that equipment and facilities remain accessible to everyone.
If you’re interested in production pottery, we can accommodate higher volumes at the Aptos Studio (aka the Institute of Low Hanging Fruit Institute).
